These tiny mushrooms are easily overlooked despite how bright they are. They grow in wet areas in spring when water pools from the spring time rain and snow run off. I have always seen them growing directly out of shallow water, and never on dry land itself. They typically grow in large numbers every spring in the same spots, as water tends to pool in the same spots each spring. They have a bright orange club like body, and a translucent white stem.
