Stereum purpureum (Silver Leaf Fungus)

A purple crust with lighter colored finely hairy margins and shelf tops, if any shelf is present at all. I’m honestly not 100% sure on this identification. Supposedly this fungus grows on wood of the prunus genus. Which consists of plum, apricot, cherry trees, etc. However, given the location this was found, the wood is unlikely to be any fruit tree other than a cherry. However, the bark of this log did not look like a cherry tree. So, until I can get back out to get some additional information, and better photos, the ID remains uncertain.
