Like other Agrocybe mushrooms, this is a spring mushroom. It shares many traits with other Agrocybes such as the tan to light brown cap and similarly colored stem, and brown spore print. This one happens to pop up mostly in grass, and is smaller than other Agrocybes. There is no ring on these mushrooms either. Some Agrocybe species have a ring, while other do not. They can sometimes look like a dried up Panaeolus species, but the stem is much sturdier, and the cap color has more of a yellowish tint than a dried up Panaeolus which can also grow in the same grassy habitat.
