These were previously llisted here as Daldinia concentrica. But, like many american mushrooms, that was the name of the european species. The roundish black growths coming out of the cracks of this stump are Daldinia concentrica. The other mushrooms in the photo that look like small shelves are a Stereum species. It’s not uncommon to find these two growing together.
