Schizophyllum commune (Split Gill)

This small bracket is quite common. It is relatively small, and has a fuzzy whitish to tannish cap. Often times with an irregular wavy edge/margin. The interesting part though is the gills underneath. Each gill is actually two gills, giving the appearance of the gill being split in half. But, also, The gill isn’t really even a gill, they’re just folds in the lower cap surface. Which, makes this common mushrooms pretty interesting to look at.
