Trichaptum abietinum (Conifer violet toothed polypore)

I had always thought this was the same species as Trichaptum biforme ( Violet Tooth). And that it just didn’t grow very well on conifers. However, I recently learned it was actually it’s own distinct species. It’s very similar to violet tooth, but often is smaller and is more spread out as emerges from between the plates of the conifer bark. Unfortunately these photos are not the best, as they were taken when the mushroom was not in it’s growth period. I plan to get some better ones where the time is right
